Connection refused! (Chat, Chrome and / or I.E.)

So I tried to enter the chat for several weeks now, but no avail. Keeps on saying connection refused. I assume this issue has appeared before as I've seen some older threads, but reinstalling Java or downloading and installing Java from one thread posted by Gendou, seemed to not solve my issue. I've reinstalled Java a few times, tried either Chrome or I.E., but they both come up with the "connection refused". Chrome seems to be not good either since I saw a message where it said it quit providing Java services as of April 2015? o.o So I decided to stick to I.E. for Gendou, but still seems to be not a big fan of me in some way. Overall I'm a bit lost as to what I should do in order to enter the chat... Furthermore I seem to have two Java versions installed... Java 7 update 55 and Java 8 update 45. Perhaps I should delete Java 7 one, but I don't know if that has any consequences for Google Chrome o.o" Altogether.. Yes I ain't good with computers and I feel kinda lost, but would love to enter the chat again like old times ^^" Is there anyone that can help me? o.o Thanks a lot for reading this message! Thanks to that spambot, I stumbled upon on this thread :x Alright, you can try this. At least it works for me. First off, close all browsers and uninstall both of the Java versions that you have, and restart your computer. Then, get this offline Java installer. Java Update 65 (Please hold on Ctrl before you click the link :x) Once done, restart your computer again just to make sure the settings are applied, and try logging into chat. At that time, Java will ask you to update. Click Later and ignore the update. You should be able to enter chat afterwards. I'm still around, but yeah lurking the forums mostly, as my workplace prohibits access to Chat and I can only get into Chat by night (my timezone is GMT+8 btw) Hope this works for you _(:3_ Edit: I'm using Firefox.   |

First of all: heya em! o.o Long time no see~ Secondly, I think I should be thankful for spambot... I tried it the way you mentioned and it seems to work just fine ^^ Thanks a lot ^^ Ps. That moment you enter the chat and you feel like you entered a "no man's land" *coughs* xD |

Good to hear that the method works well on you DA XD Yeah, entering chat needs a little timing now (no man's land /cough). If you're lucky you can find someone there :x Typing this from work. Still have about 50 mins left before I get off from work :x See you around DA, just PM if you want to meet me in Chat, though I may get sucked on playing GTA V too much. |
